In addition to the distinguished members of Max's All Stars pictured above, we have a few other noteworthy alums such as Iowa State University F/C - Damion Staple; former Hofstra University Recreation Center Slam Dunk Champion - Daniel Jacas; West Virginia University guard and overseas veteran - Darryl "Truck" Bryant; Purchase College guard - Derrick Stanton (a.k.a. the Baby-Faced Assassin); Purchase College guard and 2018 Skyline Conference Player of the Year - Deshawn Cann; former Team USA FIBA 3x3 point guard and NYC streetball legend - Dominique "Domo" Jones (who was a member of our TBT 2015 team); 2019 Max's All Stars Hall of Fame Game MVP - Herman Billups; Williams College guard and overseas veteran - James Wang; Farmingdale State University and Washington Generals guard - Joshua Smith; Max's All Stars Youth Basketball alum and College of Staten Island guard - Justin Cardenas; Max's All Stars Youth Basketball alum and Kingsborough Community College guard/forward - Keone Billey; Hofstra Club Basketball legend - Mike Viola; Berkeley Carroll all-time leading scorer and Tufts University guard - Reed Morgan (who was MVP of our Spring 2011 McBurney YMCA Championship); Ronnie Worthen Jr (who played in four championship games with Max's All Stars); Berkeley Carroll legend Shahna-Lee James (who won the Summer 2013 Lightning in the Bronx Championship with Max's All Stars women's team); and former Marist College standout guard - TJ Curry (who was MVP of the Kenny Graham's West Fourth Street All Star Game in 2015).
Max's All Stars also has tremendous supporters who need to be acknowledged as well. The families and friends of our players have shown us so much love over the years. Some of our most valued supporters include Carl Gibson (father of Branden) who served as an assistant coach from 2012-2015 and received the Max's All Stars Hall of Fame Achievement Award in 2023; Max's All Stars Hall of Famer - Shayla Diaz who was captain of our women's team and has captured so many of our greatest moments on film; and Kevin Johnson who always has our backs. Additionally, we want to give a shout-out to some of the family members who help make Max's All Stars so special - Elizabeth, Jordyn, and Taylor Gibson; Janiris De Jesus; Jenee Johnson; Jermaine and Amari Lewis; Jerrell and Adonai Lewis; Mandy and Masyn Billups; Sadia and Summer Smith; Sandra, KJ, and Luka Davis.
